Respect for People – Equality and Diversity

Introduction:

Respect for People aims to provide key information on diversity that will provide all staff with knowledge across the many varied strands of human difference.

Everyone has a responsibility to respect the feelings and sensibilities of others in the workplace, and to behave in a way which does not cause offence.

The purpose of this course is to explain what Diversity is and why it matters to all of us. It is not to instil political correctness or tell people what to think - it is about providing basic, accurate information across all aspects of diversity to stimulate individual thought on the basis of fact, rather than perpetuate the urban myths we often read or hear about.
