Julie Smith – Director
Julie Smith is currently Director at the Skills Academy for Health - Core Learning Unit. Having graduated from Bradford University she gained postgraduate certificate in Education and Mediation Skills, and an MA in Conflict Resolution.
Prior to her role in the Skills Academy for Health - Core Learning Unit she worked in West Yorkshire as an NHSU Learning Coordinator responsible for that geographical area.
Her early work experience was within the NHS as a Paediatric Nurse, moving on to become a Social Worker, and more recently working within Education.

Sally Salt – Business Support Manager
Sally joined the NHS straight from school as a Typist in the Medical Records Department of a busy District General Hospital. She gradually progressed through the channels to become the Personal Assistant for the Director of Operations at the same hospital. In May 1994, Sally went on a secondment to the Trent Regional office working as the Personal Assistant to the Regional Director of Performance. She then went on to become the Personal Assistant to the Regional Director and the Regional Chairman for the NHS Executive Trent.
In 2003, Sally joined NHSU as the Regional Office Manager for the Yorkshire and Humber Region.
Sally is currently the Business Support Manager for the Skills Academy for Health - Core Learning Unit.

Nicola Buckland – Learner Support Manager
Nicola has worked for the NHS for 9 years, beginning in a local Trust and moving on to a regional post as Assistant Learning Co-ordinator with NHSU. She is now the Learner Support Manager for the Skills Academy for Health - Core Learning Unit.
